When the confederacy lost the war there were those who approached Gen Robert E Lee saying "Let's not accept this result as final. Let's keep our anger alive. Let's be grim and unconvinced, and wear our bitterness like a medal. You can be our leader in this."

To which General Lee replied : "Abandon your animosities and make your sons Americans."

The Second Confederate Navy Jack is U.S. History. And that history is not pristine and often not very pretty. But we whitewash it at our own peril. Thicken your skin, Ton Loc, and don't be offended by what the MSM commands you to be offended by. The South lost the war. But the North and the South are yet brothers. There is no cause to continue fighting. If those who bled and died can have the good grace to forgive and live in peace, who are we to take up arms today?

That quote sounds very fake. The Confederates were already Americans. They were more American than the Yankees, since they were rejecting tyranny.
