I saw this question addressed on another website. According to one person who claimed to be an exceptionally good high paid lawyer, no lawsuit against Twitter will go anywhere because their terms of service and end user license agreements allow them to censor anything they want for any reason they want, including banning people.
People must agree to their EULA and Terms of Service in order to use Twitter, so they effectively have you over a legal barrel before you even start.
I personally believe the Congress needs to pass laws banning anyone from censoring a public forum larger than 1 million users.

I have now started calling Facebook, Twitter, etc as “anti-Social Media” The stuff is addictive and hateful. We had 2 HS kids at the same school commit suicide due to anti-social media bullying.
I see no reason to be on these platforms. No one cares what I have to say of what I had for lunch. The only good use is for Grandparents to see grand kid pictures, or if I had a band, would be a great platform for a fan club, here is where we are playing etc.

You might be on to something there. At some point these huge companies become something like a public utility.

I would assume that their 'terms of service' are only as good as the next lawsuit. That would be based on their public license. If they are a'service provider' rather that a platform advocate then their 'service' would be non-discriminatory and prevent them from being sued for what gets posted in their medium But since they can be proven to censor and therefore advocate then they are in violation of their license.
I am obviously not a lawyer but someone with deep pockets might get a sympathetic jury to consider harm to the public at large in that they are in violation of their license.
