Indeed. On your phone you have the exact model, license plate number and a pic of the driver. Anyone could print a “U” from their laptop and stick it in their window but you have to verify the Uber driver that shows up is the one you called. Unfortunately she did not do this. I have also read the child locks were activated in the back seat so she may have tried to get out and been unable to do so. Really, really sad.
The Uber app does give you this info.
But on a crowded street it is hard to distinguish. And a lot of those drivers look the same. As a matter of fact the banned ones drive on others accounts. There is not much to stop them.
