That looked a whole lot like their Big Time Wrestling shows used to. It looked staged with that huge pile-on of middle-aged men in too tight suits. Maybe not intentionally, but the event became quite entertaining because of this.
Most of the veteran wrestlers I know of, had a very good sense of humor and drama. So who knows? They love to shock.
