Miss America is headed to do just that, or so it would seem.
About 40 senior girls showed up, packing into an assistant principals office as Schmidt read a statement she had written.
We want to know what the school is doing to ensure our safety and security, Schmidt said. We should be able to learn in an environment without the constant presence of objectification and misogyny.
The girls and administrators agreed that they should have a large meeting with the male students in the program, including the boys who created and circulated the list. That Friday, on International Womens Day, almost all of the students in the IB program about 80 students met in a large conference room for what was supposed to be a 45-minute meeting during fifth period.
The girls also had demanded a school-wide reckoning about the toxic culture which enabled the creation of the list.
BS. They copied that claptrap from some website claiming evidence of "republican war on women."
And in a couple of months they will be hanging at the pool wearing a postage stamp and a couple of feet of string...
.
Back in my day, we rated the girls in this manner. I think it’s been going on for as long as anyone can remember.
So what are we saying? That in the Me Too era, this sort of thing is sexual harrassment?
If girls or women cannot be “rated” or assessed on their looks, then they should ban cosmetic surgery....including face, boobs, butt, etc. Hypocrisy.
You honestly believe that there is not a girl in High School that does not know which boys are the hottest? And that they do not discuss it?
Check the Old Testament....Kings have been doing this for a long time.....
No. 1...Vasectomy
That’s not what I said.
I said that girls do write it down, but nobody throws silly hysterics over it.
You beat me to it!! I was going to say the same thing!!
That ‘cornrow’ hairdo is just horrible. I see people wearing it today, mostly black people, both men and women.
My mistake. I thought you were saying that girls do not engage in the very same behavior. The girls I knew in HS all had their mental list and reviewed them daily within their cliques. Our memories were not good enough to remember past the first 5 or so.
This has been going on by both of the “original” sexes since there were schools. The behavior has probably expanded so some of the newer 57+ alleged categories as well. Now, each of those boys are marked for life and had better never run for any political office (if they are Republicans).
Girls do it too. It has nothing to do with “metoo”. This does not lead to men raping women.
The culture worships beauty. Look at TV news. A pretty face with big teeth is your ticket to megabucks. The kids are reflecting the culture.
Now when I look at Bo Derek in the bathing suit, all I see are her flaws.
Girls definitely do it and they are not the sweet, innocent girls of 20 years ago.
At Boot Camp we had the ‘hogboard’, with sexy pictures of recruits’ girlfriends. Whoever had the sexiest (or nakedest) picture was rewarded with a phone call home.
I did this in grade school, and still have that notepad!
its usually the boys or men with small members or unusually ugly that spend their time belittling others...
I think you are on the wrong thread. Where is the cornrow?
