President Donald Trump will announce an executive order during a trip to Texas on Wednesday that could make it harder for states to scuttle pipelines and other energy projects based on concerns about their impact on water quality.
Trump has made it a priority to expand energy development in the United States, in part by rolling back government regulations.
Pointing to Washington state and New York, Republican lawmakers have complained about states using the permitting process to stop energy projects. A senior administration official told reporters there are problems with the way some states are interpreting Section 401 of the Clean Water Act. Under that section, companies must obtain certification from the state before moving ahead with an energy project. […]

The left’s reaction to Sessions back then was that he was a “racist” sort of “ultra”-conservative, whereas his public persona seemed like the kind of pro-Constitutional conservative that aligned with what we wanted. So yes, he would have looked like a very good pick on the surface.
It took Reagan a bit to recognize who his real friends were and who is enemy’s were.
He never did fully understand the danger of the Bush Family.
Eventually he took his case to The People and bypassed the Swamp and the MSM.
This is going to be Trump’s only path to full victory.

Seems to me Trump chose his cabinet to see what is actually going on. Corrections were made, and the people were let go. They served their purpose.
I will submit to you that by the time Reagan caught on the media and Congress effectively neutered him with Iran-Contra, which stopped him from fulfilling his agenda.
