I have never gotten into split pea soup. I make a favorite soup that has split peas in it, but with zukes and kale.

Just don’t like plain split pea ;-)

Split pea and ham, the secret ingredient is dry sherry. :)
Beats the h*** out of lentils!

That ham bone makes excellent red, pinto or navy bean soups, also.
