First, go to myaccount.google.com/privacycheckup. This is a good page to bookmark, since it gives you granular control over lots of privacy settings.
Next, scroll down to Location History and choose Manage Location History.
This is where youll see everywhere youve been. Its a freaky level of detail.
Tap Manage Location History at the bottom of the screen again.
Toggle the button to turn off Location History.
To delete your history, do this:
Tap the settings button on the Location History map.
Select Delete all location history.
Turn off the option that allows Google to track your location history.
Thats not it, though.
Google will continue tracking your location unless you also turn off a separate Web & App Activity tracker. Google says it tracks your location from apps to provide better recommendations, and more personalized experiences in Maps, Search, and other Google services.
Turn off the option that allows Google to track your web and app activity.

It would be a very simple thing for our legislators to make such tracking illegal.
We as a people should demand it.
Guck foogle.
Now I feel left out. I only have two devices connected to Google, and I never take them anywhere.
I wonder if Apple has a similar website?
Thank you, BenLurkin, for the information!
Might cut down on how much is tracked for advertisers, but that’s all.
If they are tracking me I bet they are really bored.
Or just delete your google account?

Does your car have a license plate?
If so then you are being tracked.
Don’t feel left out. On average, an idle google device attempts to connect to google about every 20 seconds or about 3000 times a day. It sends coarse location, fine location, updates to contacts, calendar, searches and lots of other personnel information. (An idle apple device only connects to apple’s servers about 10 times a day and this is not an endorsement of apple).
