(sarc) Where is the legislation to outlaw swamp gas? What are they doing about Mount Chimaera? -methane has been escaping and burning there for at least 2,000 years. Where are the Kudos for ARCO, the oil and gas company that had a plan to put a gigantic inverted funnel in the ocean off the coast of Santa Barbara to capture and sell the methane seeping into our atmosphere?

The funny part is the global warming retards didn’t even have methane on their radar until WE pointed out to them that methane would be just as serious as C02 if their retarded theories were true.
Presumably buffalo also fart. About 150 years ago an estimated 90 million flatulent buffalo wandered the northern plains compared to some 30 million cows today. If flatulence equates to climate killing global warming would we not have seen a temperature spike?
Methane is only about 1.7 parts per million in the atmosphere. The radiative forcing is about 0.5 W/m2. That’s about a quarter of the forcing of CO2. Together these effects might warm the planet an average of 1.25 C if we ignore all positive and negative feedback. The overwhelming evidence of the geological record is that the system as a whole asserts negative feed back and resists forcing. The evidence of computer models that assume a strong positive feedback have become a way to get research funded from government sources dominated by the alarmist movement. This crap has got to stop. Its a corruption of science, a waste of tax payer money, a danger to good economic policy, a ideological wedge for Americans, and robs money and effort from solving real environmental problems.
These morons do not seem to understand that the gasses that come out of the front of a cow are not the same as what come out of the back of a cow. It is true that cow farts contain methane just like people farts, but cow burps contain mostly CO2 just like people burps. CO2 is also the same harmless gas that comes out of all of us when we breath.
Having grown up with cows, they do burp a lot. I know this because if they somehow get into a field with apples or pears they suck them up like bovine vacuum cleaners and they often get them stuck in their throats. This doesn’t cause them to stop breathing but it stops up their burps and they start inflating with gasses from their digestive system. If you don’t get the apple cleared out of their throats they can and sometimes do die.
When you finally dislodge the apple from the cows throat with a garden hose or other soft flexible tool, the gas that is released is not all that pleasant but it definitely does not smell like manure.
But all of this nonsense about cows farting and burping our tons of methane really is complete nonsense. Have these idiots ever gone to a county fair or anywhere else where you have a large number of cows or other grass eating animals in an enclosed space? If cows farted a whole lot wouldn’t the people around them be aware of it and be uncomfortable? And what about horses, pigs, sheep, goats, deer, elk, zebras, giraffes, and all the other grass eating four legged creatures in the world. Their digestive systems may be different but they all work on the same principal.
When you go to the zoo are you uncomfortable because of animal farts or burps in the enclosed areas? And what about people who keep miniature goats and pigs as pets in their houses with them. I know a lot of old people and dogs who fart and stink up enclosed spaces much worse.
My dog farts, and boy oh boy, it’s awful.

The goal of any socialist or communist movement is to overturn the existing culture so when it is unstable enough they can swoop in and seize control. If we where a vegetarian society they would be trying to convince us to eat meat.
When you are dealing with people like that, it’s best to ignore what they are actually saying and try to figure out their intended goal. For example, I once read in a vegan magazine that women can’t get high paying jobs because men eat red meat. Then in another article in the same magazine they talked about forcing feminism on companies to save the planet. All a long we’ve been told that veganism was about healthy eating.
The earth would probably cool 2 degrees in 10 years if we could shut off the hot air out of DC.
