The original prescription with PrEP was to use it in combination with condoms to be effective. But the predictable real-world response was to go back to the 70's style condomless "barebacking" with abandon, forgetting that there are many other diseases out there not stopped by PrEP, many of which are becoming drug resistant.
I just laugh at anyone who thinks this stuff will save lives. It doesn’t cure aids or hiv. It keeps these perverts alive longer to spread it more.
And hiv and aids have different strains and they rapidly adapt to their environments.
