Yes, its amazing how Washington and other blue states get these high ratings went to a large segment of their populations are seeking to move to red states.
When my wife and I were young most of the state was conservative with just Olympia, Seattle and Tacoma dominated by liberal idiots. We had Republican governors, Republican control of legislatures and a State Supreme Court with non-activist judges. Since that time we have had such a huge influx of Californians and other new immigrants many from 3rd world countries who never bother to learn English. It is now fairly unusual to meet people who were born and raised here.
Our taxes are going through the roof, our property taxes have more than doubled in the last three years. The Democrats desperately want new carbon taxes and a state income tax. They want vast amounts of money more than what they currently spend for new liberal social programs and “green energy” programs along with even more trains that almost no one rides.
It’s not blue states that rank high, it’s white states:
Washington, Vermont, Minnesota at the top, Alabama, Mississippi etc at the bottom.
The rankings must be compiled by white nationalist supremacist nazis.
They are neglecting to report the horrible homeless situation needles all over the streets homeless camps set up everywhere the place is a mess just like SF and LA. give me a damn break who the hell wants to live there!!!
I was born in eastern Washington and lived in the Seattle area for 46 years. I moved to rural Kentucky 8 years ago. Best move I ever made.
I loved Washington state. And if it were not for the politics, taxes, and ridiculous road system, I’d probably still live there. I was an avid bike rider and enjoyed the burke Gillman trail. But the road I live on now is what Seattle bike trails aspire to be. I have a beautiful lawn (seven acres of it) and it never needs watering.
And the people are friendly, the government isn’t intrusive, and the taxes are low. Well, there is an income tax (but it doesn’t apply to SS), but my property tax on a new home and 32 acres is less than $300 a YEAR. For those in Seattle, California or the northeast, let that sink in.
