I submit to you that you absorbed data about both Hillary and Trump over time.

Correct. Absorbed from the facts of the cases over time.
Not by any anonymous person's opinion. Or eloquence.

And you didn't do it by osmosis or mental telepathy.

Not all of it, no. Maybe 34%.

I won't waste my time on this earth keeping my opinion to myself.

I'm not suggesting that you should, I'm simply pointing out that
your opinion or mine, multiplied by millions cannot have changed
any more votes than did the opposition's opinions change
either of our votes.

And it all comes down to the votes.

Just a bit of anecdotal evidence...

My opinion is seldom shaped by anything I see on the ‘news’ as it’s all mostly lies anyway. But I was recently made aware of how much my opinions have been affecting other people.

I have a couple accounts on facebook that I keep pretty active (when they are not in facebook jail as they often are). I’ve had several people come up to me lately and express how my posts have made them look into matters more deeply and have changed their opinions on some things. Gently shifting people toward conservatism one opinion at a time. Some of these were legacy democrats having their eyes opened that the democrats of today are NOT their daddy’s democrats, and some were non-political people being nudged to become more conservatively active.

I can’t change the world, but I CAN change how one or two or a few people see the world.

So yes I do believe that our voiced opinions are important. (Which may be why mass media and the ‘social’ platforms keep trying to censor conservative thought so badly)

Sometimes fact and opinion are indistinguishable. In fact, opinions ARE facts. Everything is a fact, matter of fact, if you wanna get philosophical about it.

Not all of it, no. Maybe 34%.

🤪

I see your point, actually, but I'm not sure you're seeing mine. Maybe I'm not articulating properly.

People on our side and on their side arrived at their opinions SOMEHOW. We all have been influenced along the way to believe how we believe.

That's what I'm talking about. Whether it was Thomas Jefferson, Karl Marx, Bhudda, Roseanne Barr, Hannity, Maddow, or any number of "anonymous" opinions, including evil bloggers. Our opinions have been and are constantly being shaped and tweeked by new information.

And our individual opinions, multiplied by the millions does have an effect.

You give expressed opinions too little credit. Think globally.
