Very apt the ChiComs would use it as propaganda. It’s not like we cannot “keep up” with them on 5G. It’s MUCH more the just faster connection speed. There are severe privacy and other issues. The Huawei lead is because they have the ChiComs
backing and the privacy issues are considered a feature not a bug by them.
