Before cats and boxed wine?
I heard Dr. Joyce Brothers say the 50+ years ago on Art Linkletter. Didn’t surprise me. Some of the most screwed up women I’ve known never had kids but they were happy I think.
I don’t doubt that single, childless women have less stress than married moms. It’s stating the obvious to say that when you’re responsible for multiple people, you have more stress than if you’re only responsible for one person (yourself). But when all is said and done and they’re at the end of their lives, you can’t tell me that most moms aren’t glad they did it... and most childless women regret that they never had kids, grandkids, etc.
My advice to any single young man is to avoid narcissistic women.
Got that right.
Thinking women’s happiness single and no kids is an age related sliding scale graph that starts as a positive maximum at 18, crosses the zero at about 45-50 and plunges to negative number after that.
My experience with friends backs this up.
Is that the biggest commonality between the enhanced suicide rates of 45 year old women over other age groups being husbandless and childless, because they are happy?
I’m happiest with everyone around. Kids, husband and I’ve been single and without kids in the house
The best is at home with the kids when they’re little not having to lease the house to run around doing someone else’s priorities just to keep up with the mortgage
We used to open up the windows and play Chopin in the morning then put on Rogers and Hammerstein or the Gershwin- American in Paris or bugs bunny or blues clues

This is way underrated. Way
It’s like I told my kids: happiness is great but it’s better to do the right thing.
According to “a recent study”. Sure, that’s all I need as proof.
Of COURSE they say that..!
All bridges to kids are gone so they declare themselves happy:

My experience is that a good portion of older women who are single and have never had kids are really messed up in the head. Is it happiness or nuttiness?

happiness isn’t linear.
Children are single and unmarried and are happy.
Expert reveals women are happiest when with me.
Duh.
Everyone knows that.
And men are more than happy to screw them and not have to deal with the consequences...her choice.
Win/win...if only these types of women wouldn’t sue for child support after the fact for their choices.
Things have changed in the last several decades. There are now a lot more things around to mess up your kids. The obvious addictive substances, too easy to find and buy, but also the general breakdown of our culture, partly because we’re money-mad but also intentionally caused by our cultural enemies.
I have a hard time comforting my old lady friends who never had kids, they don’t listen to me, but you know, what can you do, the grass is always greener.
This is really getting pushed hard by the media. They love anything that is anti-family .
