I believe he is on the right path here and I completely agree with you that sexual perversion of civilization is a major problem.

Though sexuality should not be criminalized. Helped but not criminalized.

“Though sexuality should not be criminalized. Helped but not criminalized.”

How is that working out for us?

There has been a gradual erosion of morality in our society going back many years, even beyond our lifetimes, actually. But even after the sexual revolution of the 60s, homosexuality was widely regarded as disordered.

“Decriminalization” is the camel’s nose in the tent. It asks to merely respect everyone’s right to privacy (which we do). It is justified in the same way abortion is justified: consent, privacy. But it never stays private. There are clubs and groups and organizations and services and on and on. Eventually it leads to what we have today—the LGBT waging an all-out war against the traditional family unit as the building block of civilization.

Let’s apply this logic to other things that might flourish under the penumbra of privacy. Should people be able to develop weaponized strains of anthrax in their garage? How about pipe bombs? Should people be free to experiment with building explosive devices in the privacy of their own homes? How about nuclear weapons?

The way to respond to a close friend or family member who struggles with homosexual attraction is with compassion, encouraging them to seek healing. The same is true if you have friends or family who are in trouble with the law for theft, robbery, or even murder. This does not change that the laws prohibiting these things are just. I wouldn’t say we need to decriminalize theft, robbery, or murder because those who do these things are human too and need to be loved.

What keeps people from theft and robbery? Just look at what happens when hurricanes or other natural disasters strike. You get looters. We need laws with consequences in order to limit these things. Likewise, we need criminal laws prohibiting certain destructive sexual conduct. These protect society and individuals. Even homosexuals themselves are better off in a society that prohibits their sexual behavior. Some might ask what possible benefit a homosexual might get from such sex acts being a capital offense in Iran. Well, for one thing they become much less likely to commit these offenses. Historically, even in nations where homosexual sex acts have resulted in the death penalty, it has been extremely rare.

Let’s be clear, homosexuals die as a result of their lifestyle far more frequently than they EVER did due to it being a capital crime. This perversion spreads disease and misery. It is an unquenchable lust that is never satisfied, and it leads to further sexual acting out with rape, kidnapping, murder, torture, and these things include defenseless children.

Like abortion, there are so many lies that prop up arguments for legalization / decriminalization. For example, here are some of the big lies:

No one is harmed by homosexual behavior.
Homosexuals can find happiness by following their sexual desires to engage in sex acts with members of the same sex.
Homosexuals are a type of person rather than a type of behavior.
Homosexuality is predetermined genetically.
Homosexual attraction is fixed and can not be changed by therapy and counseling.
Homosexual attraction is analogous to heterosexual attraction.

None of these claims are true.
