Really? And celebrating LGBQT month or whatever?
Absolutely right; nobody raised a whimper when Obama didn’t “pay his dues” and took the top spot on the ticket from entitled Hillary in 2008.
Trump singlehandedly gave a voice to millions and millions of Americans in re-opening discussions that were destroying our way of life: Globalization, open borders, trade agreements that wrecked our economy, etc. (to say nothing of abortion); at the same time, he has removed PC BS nonsense (such as the environmentalist lies, socialism as a viable alternative economic plan, etc.) from official government business. THAT is why they hate him.
I paid my dues, earned through service yet have quite a conflict post cancer. I can go the route of disability or be a fool and work until I can't. I choose the work path because America needs it. Those who won't give for love of our nation need to die and free up oxygen and resources.
Sorry. My analysis: Trump represents fly-over America at a time we earners revile the East and Left coast that presumes to represent everyone media-wise. If not for middle America’s work ethic of manufacturing, farming and deep religiousness held together by sense of community our nation would not have gotten this far. The United States is so great that it survived a pretender whom I call the Resident (place-holder) and our President should actually be number 44. We are truly blessed.
No wrong. Obambummer and Bill Clinton could be said to have jumped the line but they love them.
Obummer certainly didn’t pay his dues. He never worked for anything a day in his life.
What you said....
Praise to you, MikelTackNailer. You understand what patriotism and honor are all about. Thank you for your sacrifice.
BJ ran because no one wanted it. His talent at capitalizing on a small recession and the rest is history.

Yes, and more than a little help from Ross Perot who ran as a third party, and wanted to punish Bush for his policies. Perot was right.
They are parasites living off the host. They do not care to nourish the host, only to take from it.

Thank you for that beautiful Natural analogy.
I’ve long felt with the indoctrination our young people get in school, they are especially open to arguments that explain the organic and Mother Nature aspects of life.
Yes, it’s the inbred Christian and hard-working culture that Trump is appealing to.
My Dad was a Reagan Democrat who fought in World War II. And he instilled the culture of hard work in his six sons.
But today, only two his boys share his patriotic and American pride state of mind. Very sad, the flippant Kennedyite “Kultur” of Massachusetts.
Another aspect of the issue you were discussing is the notion of Style vs. Substance. I explored this idea in a vanity I posted on FR a couple months before the 2016 election:
Killing Camelot: How Trump is Smashing the Style of the Political Elite with his Character & Honesty
That's why it is Free Republic.
True.
I think the reason you gave is not the primary reason, but a valid one, and one of many valid reasons given in this thread. So the answer may not be a simple one, but a complex one of many reasons. Trump is the perfect storm, so far as his enemies are concerned. He pushes a lot buttons, all at once.
I deserve no praise being but a Cold Warrior. We trained but never had to face. The Viet Nam veterans who trained me were the real heroes - real been through the crap heroes. They stayed in after seeing how their brothers were spat upon outside. I was truly honored to be taken under wing with the advice “Read this manual but learn what we tell you.” Thanks though and keep up the great postings.
