When I was young, some friends (a couple) were sitting in a parked car one night at a secluded public park, only to notice someone in the trees staring at them.

There are corrupt prosecutors out there, that’s for sure.
Then again, there are killers out there who’ve never been caught.
If this is the right guy, I hope justice is finally served.

Interesting that he apparently had lived in Lakewood for only the past 2 decades. Lakewood, as you can see on the map below, is pretty darn close to the park where he committed the rape and double murder back in 1976. I wonder if he had moved there from somewhere further away, perhaps to be closer to that park?

Maybe he wanted to be caught, so all those things would be taken care of. 😁
Assuming he will be fairly convicted, I’m certainly glad they caught this SOB, even if so long after the rape and murders.
Either way, he would not escape eternal justice, but it is nice to know (if he is guilty) that he’ll start to pay a price in the here and now.
He had a lot of trouble in school. The time for tests were over and he was still writing his name on the paper. I can see how he could become a crazy evil drunk.

It's difficult to believe they were his only victims. Apparently he was first arrested for attacking two teenaged girls (on the same day in 1957) back when he was about 20.
