Raymond Vannieuwenhoven.

Probably Belgian (or Dutch): name from "Nieuwenhoven Castle" in Belgium.

"Nieu", as in the Dutch spelling of New York. "Wenhoven", probably named regarding a town his ancestors came from. Possibly even a town that had disappeared during The Plague of the Middle Ages.
