Maxwell House???
Did you notice what they did to their big (Costco-sized) package?
The handle on the container is wider and shallower, making it more difficult to hold.
I’m guessing it’s to cause more accidents that waste the product causing more “earlier” sales so that they can fund such studies.
I took a managerial accounting course in late 1970s college. The prof said as a grad student, he did a Summer at GF in NYC, and GF had a whole floor of cost accountants working to find ways to shave 0.5¢ off a pound (back in the day) of Maxwell House.
Then the marketing guys would show up and announce a 5¢/lb increase in advertising.
He decided that cost accounting wasn’t going to be his thing.
I drink Trader Joes breakfast blend. Reminds me of the old Eat n Park coffee when it used to be good. No more than 9 cups a day for me.
