I imagine Mexico got a lot of moral support from the senate Republican that are back stabbing Trump.
Trump will veto any bill the Congress passes to stop tariffs. They can’t stop POTUS from imposing them.
A 10% tariff on the amount of goods imported from Mexico would raise $2B/month. That amount of money doesn’t even move the needle. This is a symbolic move on the part of the RINOs, they are using this opportunity to send a message that the globalist cabal won’t stand for ANY tariffs at all.
