WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Hope Hicks, once a close aide and communications director for President Donald Trump, becomes on Wednesday the first member of his inner circle to testify to the congressional panel leading a probe into possible obstruction of justice by Trump.Democrats who control the House of Representatives Judiciary Committee believe Hicks can provide important insights into troubling chapters of former Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report on Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election, and Trump’s efforts to interfere with the investigation. “She’s our first fact witness,” said Jamie Raskin, a Democratic lawmaker on the committee. “Having somebody talking about what happened from a personal perspective will be a dramatic debut for the committee.”

That’s the problem with hiring whores. They’ll do anything if the payoff is high enough... or if the consequences for not obliging are steep enough. I’m guessing she has started writing a book, for which her participation in the Dems’ show trial will be the climax.

“...becomes on Wednesday the first member of his inner circle to testify to the congressional panel...”

Hope Hicks was definitely not part of Trump’s inner circle.

All she can say is “I don’t know. Did not participate in those discussions.”

Surely, according to the democrats, Trump was wont to say, “Hey, y’all come in here and help me plot ways to obstruct Mueller while my lawyer goes over there and reveals his inner being to Mueller for thirty hours.”

“Having somebody talking about what happened from a personal perspective will be a dramatic debut for the committee.”

They said the same thing about John Dean. Drama is for the theater.

No matter what Trump told people in the White House, the Mueller investigation would have been able to find the collusion if it occurred.

Seriously doubt Hicks will provide damaging testimony to Congress any more than she did to Mueller. That said, you know that Weissmann, Rhee, et.al. are advising Nadler and other Dems on whom to call and what to ask.

“She’s our first fact witness,” said Jamie Raskin, a Democratic lawmaker on the committee. “Having somebody talking about what happened from a personal perspective will be a dramatic debut for the committee.”

So you admit that John Dean wasn't a "fact" witness, and that you're holding hearings for "dramatic" effect, not to uncover the truth.

With a Rep controlled Senate and Trump in the WH, the Dems in the House can pass whatever legislation they want, but they know it is DOA in the Senate.

You insult a person President Trump has always spoken highly of.

Which woman associated with will you call a whore next? Sarah Sanders? Kellyanne? Melania?

Get out of here.

"Get out of here."

Thanks, but I think I'll stay.

And I don't associate the word "whore" exclusively with either sex. It's more a term that describes a character flaw -- specifically the willingness to screw your friends over for some sort of payoff, or if threatened by a third party.

POTUS' track record for picking cabinet members and advisors isn't stellar. He's a business man, for whom loyalty is based upon friendship and/or a contract. But he's the President now... there are few friends, and no contracts that will supersede political ideology or greed.

Trump has done nothing wrong so what could she say.

She would not testify if there was any chance her testimony would hurt Trump.

2012: She began working for public relations firm Hiltzik Strategies in 2012, after meeting the firm’s founder at an NFL Super Bowl event, and worked there for Donald Trump’s daughter Ivanka Trump, on her fashion line, and then on other Trump ventures.

2014: In August 2014, Hicks joined The Trump Organization full-time.

2015: In January 2015, Donald Trump chose Hicks, who was 26 years old at the time, for the role of press secretary for his potential presidential campaign.

2016: On December 22, 2016, it was announced that Hicks would become part of the Trump Administration, in the newly created position of the White House Director of Strategic Communications.

2017: In January 2017, Hicks was included on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list, having “served as a one-woman press team for Trump’s historic presidential campaign”.

AND I don’t believe for a minute that you didn’t intentionally call this beautiful young woman a “whore” precisely because she is a beautiful young woman.

The Achilles heel to the Trump Administration was and still is a totally unconscionable lack of awareness of who the President appoints for his Administration. Most were never loyal nor sworn to MAGA. To be more to the point, the swamp was barely drained and inexplicably the Trump Administration actually contributed to the swamp.
