Yup, potheads wanted legalization and now they’ll get it, GOOD and HARD.

Then there was a black man selling “Loosies” cigarettes shot by law enforcer. That didn’t come out too good.

The block isn't big enough for two lemonaide stands! Says the people that literally created the illegal monopoly in the first place.

Just shows that the war on drugs can be won if state governments really want to.

Right, this time it will work because we will get the right people to do it.

“Right, this time it will work because we will get the right people to do it.”

And those tv ads will utterly devastate all those illegal pot farms. Why, they don’t stand a chance against the power of advertising.

Governments are so efficient as demonstrated by the brilliance of the state of New York which managed to create a market for illegal cigarettes with its high taxes.

Just goes to show you how clever government can be when dealing with an addictive substance.

“Just goes to show you how clever government can be when dealing with an addictive substance.”

Pity they don’t feel that way about the most addicting thing ever.

Power.

I’ve never smoked pot in my life, don’t intend to and I’ve been pro legalization for a long time.

Ironically I had to go to a pot dispensary recently to buy veterinary CBD oil on behalf of my sister for her very ill dog (since deceased). The visit in California gave one a taste of the police state. The place was prison-like with armed guards. I had to show my driver’s license before I entered and when I requested the item to purchase they had to look me up in the computer system to see if I registered upon entry.

I mention all of this because I was shocked by the prices; how expensive all the items were and for what appeared to be very small quantities. As I and others predicted, the products would be so over taxed and regulated that it would drive it underground again, which is exactly what it did.

We now have a drug gang turf war between the states and the freelance growers and dealers.

Clever enough to use your money and mine to promise free shit for others to get more of that power under their hand.

So in the end, the democrats in California took over the drug trade. All for safety and public health of course...

The state has been under pressure by the legal industry to do more to stop the illicit pot economy, which in Los Angeles and other cities often operates in plain sight.

California taxes the holy hell out of the legal industry, so the illegal version continues to thrive, and will continue to do so regardless of California "coming after them".

The Government is what they use to call the Mafia and, it’s going to run the pot business across this whole county.

Been saying that since the 1960s.

Didn’t have to be Fellini to figure that one out.

I heard that the over supply, buyers wanting to stay anonymous and the high taxes are driving the illegal sales.

My buddy’s wife has had numerous back surgeries leaving her in almost constant pain and her doctor recommended she try medical marijuana and wrote her a prescription. When she went to fill it she found out that insurance didn’t cover it and the cost was appreciably more than what it would cost buying it on the street illegally. This is in upstate NY. You gotta wonder why something that grows as a weed would cost so much, must be all the taxes and regulatory requirements. Crazy.

Gee, but I thought the war on drugs would end if they made it legal, and the economy would skyrocket from the tax revenue...

I buy only edibles
I want the legal product. It’s excelkent and cheap.

They print labels showing assays done that are 0.01% accurate

And they tax the crap out of tgdm and they’re still cheap. Like 1$ per piece
