“The couple spent an unplanned week in a remote area waiting for a new rim.”

Was one of them named Clark Gable?

The sidewalls have been removed for demonstration. The thing that pops in my head is the “unsprung” weight of the tires. Tires that weigh 2 or 3 times more than conventional tires could really put a dent in fuel mileage.

“The couple spent an unplanned week in a remote area waiting for a new rim.”

That sounds like the beginning summary of a horror movie.

Ugh!!!! Even if a few scenarios don’t work out for the tires, this is awesome!!!!!! You are the type that says, yes the economy and unemployment numbers are great, but what about that guy who is on life support? He can’t get a job.

I did. I see no reference to tire weight. It did say lighter than the air it replaces but nothing on total weight. I know it doesn’t take much weight below the suspension to lower mileage or ride quality.
