Follow the manufacturer pressure recommendations posted on the drivers door sill. Those will give the best economy and longevity for your tires.

Did you read the first sentence of my response? OF COURSE nitrogen or any gas will expand with increasing temperature and hence increase pressure.

Charles’s law.

But if there is moisture (= water) in the gas it will add a non-linear component to the expansion.

HumVees had a Central Tire Pressure System with an external line to an air compressor mounted to the wheel hubs.

I didn't know that but I'm not surprised. What I was suggesting is all within the realm of current technical capabilities. Questions.... Was it a good system that didn't introduce new problems such as leakage? Did it have a smart system that would make adjustments based on the various predictive parameters that would dictate what the 'perfect tyre pressure' should be? And would it make those adjustments on the fly'?
