I’m sorry, but the Johnny Deep remake completely pales in comparison to the original. I remember watching the original as a kid in 1976 and it is just a classic.

Im sorry, but the Johnny Deep remake completely pales in comparison to the original. I remember watching the original as a kid in 1976 and it is just a classic. Gene Wilder had the Willy Wonka thing down perfectly: an apparently sunny disposition, under which was something hard as nails and a little bit menacing, under which was a heart of gold and a love of humanity.

The Depp remake wasn’t horrible, it was nothing like the original - and that was good.
Unlike the Ghostbusters remake which WAS horrible.
