i have an experience with the reincarnation phenomenon. I knew someone long ago who believed said person was reincarnated. Said person was being studied and the study was shut down because said person knew things said person wouldn’t and couldn’t have known from one of the wars and whoever shut it down didn’t want info disclosed.
Was it real. I think so. But then again...maybe there is some other explanation.
If I was a child of Diana I would have someone discreetly call this family and ask something there is no way the child could know.

According to the work done by Dr. Michael Newton (fascinating book The Journey of the Soul) with clients in very deep hypnosis, the oversoul sends out only a portion of its energy to incarnate. It is possible to have several people in many places coming from the same source. A child would be free of the mental structures we acquire as we grow and there are many examples of people with partial or total recall. This has nothing to do with religion but the wonderful world of spirit.
If the kid thinks he is Princess Diana, then he is Princess Diana. Case closed. Anyone who says otherwise is a hateful bigot on the wrong side of history and should be shunned. It’s 2019. Not 1950. No room for intolerance in this age.
There are children who have imprints of people who have died. The classic was a boy who said he was someone who died in an airplane crash and who had many details of the man’s life. The father researched long and hard and finally found a WWII fighter pilot who died when his plane was shot down that exactly matched the boy’s description. These children seem to lose the connections at about 8 years of age but there is a respectable number of them.
The “Time Tunnel”, that cheesy ‘60’s time travel show, randomly ended up on the Titanic.
And every reincarnated soul turns out to be a bankable celebrity.
