Vladimir Putin On Interference in the Trump-Clinton 2016 US Presidential Election...and on Trump
targetliberty ^ | 7-19-19 | Oliver Stone

Russian President Vladimir Putin sat down on June 19, 2019, in the Kremlin, for an on the record interview with Oliver Stone. The Russian government has released a transcript of the interview. Below is Putin's discussion with Stone about the 2016 presidential election.-RW Oliver Stone: Yes. So recently, you know Russia has been obviously accused and accused over and over again of interference in the 2016 election. As far as I know there is no proof, it has not turned up. But now in the US there has been an investigation going on about Ukraine’s interference in the election. It seems that it was a very confusing situation, and Poroshenko seems to have been very strongly pro-Clinton, anti-Trump. Vladimir Putin: Yes, this is no secret. Oliver Stone: Do you think there was interference? Vladimir Putin: I do not think that this could be interpreted as interference by Ukraine. But it is perfectly obvious that Ukrainian oligarchs gave money to Trump’s opponents. I do not know whether they did this by themselves or with the knowledge of the authorities.

This will be the headlines of NR Slimes, LA Times, CNN...

OR NOT.

We live in strange times when Oliver Stone does a better interview than our so-called news media could and Vladimir Putin makes more sense than virtually any member of Congress.

Good read. This is the 3rd or 4th interview of Putin that I’ve heard or read. He always comes across as honest and straightforward to me.

It sounds like Oliver Stone is not a fan of the “Russian collusion” narrative.

“on the record interview with Oliver Stone”

This was the key part.

I always thought Stone was a communist and a weirdo in general but it looks like a honest journalism and his patriotic angle is obvious.
Overall nothing here really make any news. Putin was always clear about his position on all of the above.
And I don’t think anyone is interested in his criticism of the ways things are going in US.

I wouldn’t put too much stock in this. Vladimir Putin will say whatever, and Oliver Stone was not making a positive case for Trump, it was a positive case for Putin, period.

I’ve never liked Stone much either and I agree on your other points too. It’s kind of interesting that Stone is aware of the Ukrainian collusion with Hillary. That’s something that mostly right wing political junkies know about at this point.

Hmmm. Do you believe Putin interfered for Trump if so? IMHO all of the above makes perfect sense.
The entire idea of ‘election meddling’ is ridiculous especially coming from the intelligence community which for decades supported the entities like Voice of America or Radio Free Europe and defending them on a basis of free speech.
‘13 Russian-Trump trolls’ are just ridiculous comparing to VoA in terms of foreign political meddling and more so considering they couldn’t even prove the trolls were indeed pro-Trump or tied a Russian government or has connection to a troll farm or even posted a thing during incriminated period.

So what?
a negative case for Putin would be used by Russophobia Neocons and lib/progs to smear Trump.

“” “” It’s kind of interesting that Stone is aware of the Ukrainian collusion with Hillary””” “

I somehow believe Ukrainian influence is even stronger.

The entire angle of blaming the other side of being a Russian pland and/or a denial of electoral loss based on alleged Russian meddling and all the related hysteria and sabotage of the winning side is so strikingly Ukrainian that you can’t believe it is happening in US.

At least there is no revolution and civil war which is a norm once per couple elections there.

Doesn’t Stone believe the Deep State killed JFK? Isn’t that the message of Stone’s movie?

Is Russia didn’t hack the DNC emails, who did?

Bernie (honeymooned in Moscow) Sanders was Russia’s dream winner. But just like Russian elections, the DNC already had the wicked witch their designated winner.. with super duper delegates. Bernie sold out for a vacation house...

More sense than any of the democrats...

nothing truer than the following, and it is the Deep State, including FakeNewsMSM, that gave the public the licence to not accept THEIR loss:

Oliver Stone: What was unprecedented?

Vladimir Putin: It was the first time the losing side does not want to admit defeat and does not respect the will of the voters.
