Doesn’t sound like a good business model.
I watched a promo of a robotic food delivery service set in SF. It had a human delivery woman yelling at a delivery robot.
The way the system worked was that when electronic order was ready and locked in an R2D2-esque bot, an unlock code was sent to the customer, and the robot headed out to the order address.
Are these companies hired by the customer or by the vendor? If by the restaurant then it is their own problem. If by the customer then it is a real problem.
