Washington (CNN)Sixteen US Marines were arrested Thursday for alleged involvement in various illegal activities ranging from human smuggling to drug-related offenses, according to a statement from the Marine Corps. The arrests took place in a dramatic fashion on Thursday morning at Camp Pendleton, California, during a battalion formation. "Information gained from a previous human smuggling investigation precipitated the arrests," the statement said. "None of the Marines arrested or detained for questioning served in support of the Southwest Border Support mission." Eight other Marines were also questioned on their involvement in alleged drug offenses unrelated to today's arrests, the Marine Corps said. This story is breaking and will be updated.

a schoolmate way back when joined the navy and got wind of drug running in the navy, and someone found out he knew- He apparently hadn’t told authorities or anything, but the pukes thought he had, and stabbed him to death while he slept-

I was semi-associated with a GMM1 going down in Japan for running drugs and weapons out into the local economy. Used the postal system. Only got caught because he forgot to lock his footlocker in the BEQ while he was on TAD for training.
They found cartridges in his foot locker and a whole bunch of train station locker keys. For the next year or so every time they were able to match a key to a locker in the economy they would find either drugs, cash, weapons, AND more keys.
If he’s still alive then he’s still sitting in the SOFA prison there.
That’s why they call it “dope”.
Criminals in reality are incredibly stupid.
That’s a bad day for sure.
In the USAF in Aviano Italy 2 airmen were arrested. The money Man’s Dad came over and he went back to the states with his Dad. The other “poor” guy used as the dealer went off to the Italian Jail. There has always been two justice systems, even in the military.

There are probably more involved but these were the only ones caught.
It’s a shame they didn’t film it.
That would be worth watching.
Is the reason we’re NOT seeing their pictures is because the majority of them are “brown”?
