ABORTIONS have long been associated with teenage girls - but the reality is very different, with more women having abortions later in life simply because they can’t afford to have a baby.

There were 200,608 abortions in England and Wales in 2017 – and according to a Department of Health study, there were a record number in the over-30s age group.

Many were in relationships and over half of them – 54 per cent – were already mothers.

But why are so many mothers choosing abortion?

Here, one mum tells us her story. 'I couldn’t afford to be a single mum to two'

Stacy-Jane Sullivan, 32, a Home Education Support and Advice Officer, from Maidstone, Kent, decided on a termination after falling pregnant with her ex's child.

Stacy-Jane says: "I’m like clockwork with my cycle so when I was seven days late, I did a pregnancy test, saw the positive result and burst into tears.

I’d been separated from my son’s father for two years and although we’d occasionally sleep together, we were never going to get back together.

I was a single mum already to Logan, four, worked full time and knew I couldn’t look after two children.

While my heart flip-flopped over what to do, my head was telling me another baby would break me financially.

Why stop there? Does your spouse have a life insurance policy? Take out anything on your aging parents? maybe have them give you power of attorney and retool the will to your liking. Take them on a scenic drive out West where there are scenic overlooks with looong drop offs.

What good is it if a person profits all the toys in the world but loses their soul?

You knew you couldn't afford another kid, but you still couldn't be bothered with using birth control. And if you ever tell the kid you didn't kill about his sibling, he'll know that you could kill him just as easily. I do not think that is healthy for any child.

Yet if a single father sought help there no one would help him because “he’s a man”.

This woman should have done better and not gotten pregnant in the first place since she’s not married, she does not have a father for her first son and would not have had one for the second child. Her son does not need toys he needs a father. She’s reckless and selfish.

What is with England these day? Why is it that one only ones that seem to get married and having children is the Royal Family everyone else is just having bastard kids?

Such thoughts are the source of a lot of depression in young people today. They’ve been given the clear message, they are disposable, and beyond material accumulation, life has no meaning.
