Did Nike bribe the author to list Oregon at #4? No way that should be on the list. I would kick out Oregon and replace it with Penn State. The helmet so bland it is beautiful. I would put Michigan #1.

Notre Dame?!?!?!?! Really?!?!?!?!

And FSU is a rip-off of the old Washington Redskins helmet.

I would put Michigan and Texas 1 and 2.

6. USC USC’s cap features a gray face mask and a golden trojanRoman decal over its shiny red helmet. That look has tons of history. Never change it, USC. Fixed it for historical accuracy

I thought it was ironic that when Spurrier coached the Redskins, he actually brought back the old spear helmet.

UGA loses points because it’s too much like the Packers’ helmet.

Your Gators can’t seem to decide whether to use letters or a gator image.

True that typeface for the letter G is common in sports; Grambling being another.

I have a problem with Oregon too.

Yeah, I get it that Phil Knight’s is their god and benefactor - but I despise the weekly fashion show that Oregon football has become. Too much glitz, too much glam, etc...

Oregon’s colors are iffy at best and when they screw with the design (for example, putting duck wings on the shoulders) and color shades, it becomes atrocious.

I liked the 70s helmet, more of a classic look.

If you have more than one helmet during a season, that should disqualify you from the list.

One Helmet, Only!

A honorable mention should go the the Arizona State “Fire & Brimstone” helmet. I think that was the best one of the modern look ones.

I don’t know if the Redskins have used that helmet since Spurrier left.
