This is almost funny. Leftist kids hate business, capitalism, and most of all Trump. What are they studying instead? Social work? Climate change?

MBA degrees from mostly socialist universities? What kind of logic is that?

Socialists don’t believe in the free-market system, so, why do they engage in producing MBA graduates? Could it be that, students don’t see the value in getting their training from those socialist institutions?

I’m sure that the ridiculously high cost of an MBA has absolutely nothing to do with this development...

I recall back in the mid ‘90s (as a young Gen Xer just starting out into the job market, not a fun task back then) reading about how recent MBA graduates were having such a tough time finding employment of any kinds, some universities were working in conjunction with companies to take MBA students on in minimum wage jobs just so they could get some work experience in the business environment. Basically put me off on doing something like that and I instead focused on more practical things like accounting and computers.

Get rid of the “studies” programs.

A semester’s worth of very valuable information crammed into two years.

Have the MBA online. You will get more students. I’m doing my MBA at Southern New Hampshire. My job pays for it so why not? It’s going to be my source of income for my retirement. Adjunct professor and will teach two classes a semester.

Well, at least thanks to supply and demand, the cost of getting an MBA should start dropping commensurately. Right?

The University of Michigan Ross School of Business experienced the worst drop, an 8.5% decline from 3,485 to 3,188 apps.

fake story about no issue. Their 2020 class has 420 students. I doubt they will have any trouble filling the 2021 class. Even if half of the applicants are applying as a back up school they should be able to fill out of the remaining 1500.

MBA graduates are having a hard time finding businesses that still need to be destroyed.

My knee-jerk reaction:

You can earn an undergraduate degree without knowing anything useful.

A graduate degree requires that you actually know something and are willing to apply yourself. (note: the content may all be further indoctrination)

They teach a few things in MBA school. But not many of the programs are of a high quality.
I have met dozens of MBAs who weren’t bright enough to get a Bachelors in Accounting. And an Engineering degree would be far beyond the reach of most of the ones I have encountered.
MBA from one of the top-20 schools excepted, I have never seen the “greatness” of an MBA degree.

ALL colleges are dealing with a drop in enrollment due to LESS CHILDREN BEING BORN. Add in the marxist crap teaching, a better economy, sky-high tuition debt and it’s little wonder.

As someone who graduated from business school with an MBA almost 20 years ago, the problem with the degree is it often does not earn you the premium you paid to get it. You not only have to forego a year of income but you also have to pay in most cases, tens of thousands of dollars.

Then when you do hit the job market you see that people with much much cheaper qualifications like 6 sigma or for example a Project Management Professional (PMP) degree not only can get paid as much as you can, in plenty of cases, they are more in demand than you are with your MBA. Those degrees are a lot less time consuming, they do not require you to take a year or more off from work and if the rewards are going to be just as good or better, why bother getting an MBA?
