A Chicago judge appointed a special prosecutor on Friday morning to lead the investigation into the handling of the Jussie Smollett case.
Cook County Judge Michael Toomin appointed former U.S. Attorney Dan Webb to the position to investigate the way the case was handled — specifically, why the 16 criminal charges against Smollett were dropped and to potentially reinstate the charges or even add additional charges against Smollett.
"Webb gained prominence for his lead role during the Operation Greylord investigations into judicial corruption in Cook County," Fox 32 reported. "He served as special counsel in the Iran-Contra affair and was previously appointed by Judge Toomin in the death of David Koschman."

Cool. I wonder when the last time was that a Special Prosecutor actually prosecuted the target of the investigation.

How about they just charge Jussie with filing a false police report and go from there.
That should delay it until after the next election.. when it can all go away if a democrat wins.
And I have a feeling they are going to do everything they can to make sure of that.
Because there will be no consequences for voter fraud if they win... and there certainly seems to be none when they lose.

I thought the case was simply dismissed without charges but these things drag on for so long they become impossible to follow.
