I went to the Lutheran school, but often visited my friends over at OLPH, they were paid to sweep the floors after school! (Not much)
They were teacher’s pets, no knuckle bleeding.

Japanese kids, starting in Kindergarten, are expected to sweep and mop the floors every day after lunch. They don’t get paid, and I expect they don’t litter either.
