Good information about what you can compost and best practices. I'll have a bunch of leaves before too long

Good info, but why stop there?
Do everything he says. Then get $10 of Red Wigglers off of Amazon and take the next step:
VERMIcomposting.
Yeah, the worms will eat everything you just composted, as long as it has stopped being hot.
A Red Wiggler eats about a 50% equivalent of it’s bodyweight daily.
If your plants like ordinary compost, then they jump up and down for the same stuff, once processed by worms.
They run away from light, so scrape the stuff off the top, and they’ll go down lower.

I compost everything but cans, bottles, and meat scraps. I have a special 5 gallon blender and everything goes in. Junk mail, paper towels, coffee grinds, egg shells, vegetable and fruit scraps, etc....Worms love paper by the way.....Once a week I just dump it all in, add water, and make a compost smoothee.

I compost at the local recycle center. I take my garbage there, they take it to a landfill. Composting 101.

I have read 1 3 brown (leafs etc.) to 1 green ration is best, and which I have tried to follow in my 64gal trash barrel compost, but which works slow due to its sunless location and the cooler and winter months.
But what should the ratio of fruit be?
