Here at least in Crazy Californicator land, most of the major super markers are now carrying this fake meat (like fake News).
Yesterday, I asked a butcher at one of the stores how the fake hamburger tastes.
He handed me a package of the fake stuff and a package of real hamburger and suggested that I read the labels.
I bought more of the real hamburger. He smiled and said all of his butcher friends are doing what I did.
Nothing. Just elitist, globalist scumbags trying to force Americans to give up meat under the guise of saving the environment. That's also why you have these articles coming out in favor of cannibalism and eating insects.
If LIB nitwits have their way, eventually we will be expected to eat the lice falling off our overlords regal garments...as long as we don’t make eye contact.
Chuck makes wonderful steaks, if you cook it long enough.
Low Carb Cooking at the Office - the Sous Vide Way
This was a sirloin tip - it looks like my pan limit is 4.5 lbs. I did get it in there, but won’t buy a future one that’s larger. Sirloin tip was $3.99/lb & that’s a price I can afford. Thanks for tip on Chuck & link! BTW, I bought beef fat from local farm (grass-fed on farm birth to butchering) & rendered it into tallow - love it for frying/searing my roasts.
Omega 3 is Trivial in Grass fed beef.
Grass fed beef 80 mg
Salmon 2000 mg
Just eat some fish.
The thing about Sous Vide is you can cook long enough to break down the collagen in really tough cuts, without overcooking.
Generally, chuck is used in stews and pot roasts, because if you don’t cook it for hours it’s too tough to chew.
But put in a water bath at 130 degrees for 2-4 hours and it’s still medium rare - and it’s as tender as you could want.
Plus - all the broken—down collagen means a lot of flavor. More than in the expensive cuts.
Socialists hate cattle and ranchers. They want cattle to evaporate, and ranchers to go out of business. They have been working toward this for decades. They had a slogan in the 70s that was “Cattle Free by 93” meaning no more cattle in the US by 1993. They didn’t manage to do that though they tried very hard. They use the Endangered Specie Act like a hammer over ranchers, farmers, fishermen and claim many creatures from minnows to turtles, and everything they can think of is endangered because cows are around.
Now they are claiming cow farts are causing climate change and must go. They don’t want anyone to eat beef; so they can get rid of ranchers and farmers. Just like everything else they don’t want to eat meat so no one else should. They are attacking beef first but I am sure chicken, pork is not far behind. They put many ranchers and farmers out of business each year. Most of that land is developed for housing so will not be back in production.
They do not want food production in the United States; not sure why but they fight against it. The only food production they support is organic and there is no way organic foods can be raised in the amount needed to feed this country.
So what they really seem to want is for us to import all of our food. My own personal opinion is because that would make it easier to control the food supply. Whoever controls the food controls the people.
I hope people wake up before the store shelves are empty.
“I will set off on my gathering as of today.
I know gorillas use twigs for bug gathering, Im on it.”
LOL! Your dutifulness is very admirable. I got home from work and cooked a steak and had a few glasses of a pleasant red wine. But, just in case, do let us know if you find some haute cuisine recipes for insects.
