The Kamala Harris campaign gamble on Iowa as the race for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination nears the opening caucuses may not pay off, according to campaign strategists. "I'm f--king moving to Iowa," Harris, 54, was overheard telling a Senate colleague this month. Though the former California attorney general was being at least partly facetious, she has promised to visit the first-in-the-nation state every week of October and will double the size of her Hawkeye State staff as she tries to overcome her summer slump before primary voters start caucusing on Feb. 3. The tactic represents a shift in emphasis for the mixed-background candidate, who has been trying to woo those in more diverse electorates like South Carolina.

I am one of those who finds her perfectly qualified to run for President.
Her constitutional qualification for the office is dubious, she has no personal morals whatsoever (Whore of Willie Who?), and she appears ready to exterminate white people if given the chance (which seems to be mainstream in the Democratic Party these days).
From a tactical standpoint she is correct to go all out in Iowa. Democratic voters are extremely vulnerable to media narratives, since they are much more likely than others to trust the media. Iowa will be the first major event, and positive media press coverage is _critical_ for a Democrat at that stage.
Anyone finishing below the top three in Iowa (say below 10%) will be laughed at by the media pundits, and their campaign will be unable to raise the substantial sums of money needed to compete in the next few rounds of primaries.
Right now it looks like Biden, Warren and Sanders will be the “ins” and everyone else will be “out”.
She needs to make it a four person race or she is done.
