The RNC can't control Mitt, or really any other Senator. Especially one who isn't up for reelection. If they tell him to "get in line", he'd probably just go public with their demand, publicly reject it, and use that to build himself up as a free-thinking, honest guy.

The problem isn't the RNC. It's the people of Utah who elected.

Funny how the Dems manage their people.

Repubs can get certain folks in line. Do you recall all the resigning, retiring, not running again Repubs in 2016 that cost us the House Majority? That was all due to Paul Ryan for the most part. The only way to control Trump was to allow the majority in the house to swing to Dems. In California we lost many seats and we knew there was absentee ballot fraud and other fraud, yet we didn’t fight, we didn’t address, etc.
