The saddest, dumbest, ridiculous, malicious aspects of this decision is the fact that the migration out of California will increase. Those that can afford to leave and make their money someplace else, will do so. Those that cannot, the working-middle class, cannot escape and will pay the price for this decision by having to deal with increased crime and violence

And, as we all know, those that can leave will bring their liberal ideology wherever they go and destroy or begin the destruction of their new home, IE, Colorado, Washington, Oregon, Arizona, Texas, Idaho is on the brink, Montana is on the brink. No place is safe from their disease, unfortunately.

I would like to know actual numbers in these migrations of Ds and Rs.

I SWEAR all I know leaving NY are Rs.

But then i’m on staten island.

They are mostly older folks going to FL but there’s kids going to NC etc and they’re solid Rs.

“Perhaps more significantly, the federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency stands to lose four privately run detention facilities holding roughly 4,000 people in California, unless the ban is challenged in court.”

Sorry folks, because of the new California law, all of you are going back to Mexico today.

What it means is that the feds should not turn their lands over to the states. Might be needed.

I say we take off and nuke the place from orbit. It’s the only way to be sure.

I’d love to get a place in CA for the winter...but every time I think it will be ok for just 6 months a year something like this pops up. DANG IDIOTS!

I grew up in that wonderful state....and it’s gone now.

Asked a SF liberal if you have to clean up after your dog in SF. Oh...the look I got.

I totally understand the frustration with CA politics but aside from the homeless, drug infestation and illegal aliens, the place is pretty cool. I thoroughly enjoyed living by the beach in San Diego. Too bad the dems have messed up even San Diego.

It will ban California from incarcerating anyone in privately run facilities altogether from 2028.

Hmmm 2028? By then Jesus may have returned for His church, the anti-christ made the scene, the Battle of Armageddon over in a flash, satan put away for a while, and Jesus begins His 1000 year reign.

I have been to California. It IS beautiful, lots of fascinating places to go, things to do etc. But for me the negatives really ruin most of it. And your comments along the lines of “it’s great, but...” remind me of that old line- “other than that, how was the play, Mrs. Lincoln?”.

The dog owners poop on the Streets of San Francisco at least as much as their dogs do

First they remove the financial burden from the state and cities, they hire and contract companies to run them and then they accuse them of making a profit on the poor unfortunate victims who are all incarcerated for low level drug offences and because their skin is black or brown. A diabolical pattern to eliminate them entirely, a social justice cancer

You are all looking at it in the wrong way.

Private prisons staff and are most likely not members of unions. The prisons are not going away, the state will take over, hire the guards make them join the unions and the unions will pay off the politicians.

See how simple it is.

As for any federal prisons state laws have no control over them.

“...twice the cost” Well that goes without saying. When the government runs something there is the cost of doing what ever they are doing plus corruption.

So where does California get off telling the Federal government what they can and cannot do? I do not think this holds any water.
