I like Aldi’s. Seems like for the last few weeks their meat sales haven’t been as good as they were, but you can save there on almost all your staples.

Getting a cart in the middle of winter can be a pain though....

I have a quarter stashed in the pocket of all my handbags so I'm never caught without one and have to trudge back to the car to find one on the floorboards...under the mats...between the cushions...

Having quarters is not a problem. Messing with outdoor carts in very cold weather is. Seems like they could find a way to keep the carts indoors.

Have you ever tried Mama Cozzi pizza from Aldi’s? I hear their deli refrigerated (not frozen) pizzas are pretty good. There’s a great sale on them through tomorrow. $4.99 for a 16”.

That's exactly what I have in my breakfast every morning. Siggi's full milk (high fat) yogurt with berries swirled in. I get the big bags of frozen berries and thaw a few out the night before in the refrigerator.

Along with some fried eggs in butter - which take me literally 3 minutes to make - it's the true breakfast of champions.

I mention the 3 minutes because when I tell people I make fried eggs every morning, almost always, they tell me they "don't have the time". But really not much more time than pouring milk into a bowl of sugar-laden cereal).

Siggi's Triple Cream is my all-time favorite yogurt. Mix with berries, as I pointed out earlier, and it tastes like a soft-serve ice-cream sundae - albeit a very healthy one.

In my younger days, I shunned yogurt because what was typically available in the supermarkets was awful. Yoplait, Dannon, etc., which emphasized "low fat" which meant added sugar. Now all supermarkets have "full milk" (high fat) yogurts which is the ones to get. They will have some sugar but it's the naturally occurring sugar. I'm thinking the "no sugar" yogurts will have artificial sweeteners which I also stay away from.

Actually, once you adjust to a diet with no added sugar (low carb), you completely lose your desire for sweets. I get all the sweetness I could ever want from natural fruit like berries. I've also developed a real taste for black coffee. I could never drink black coffee before but now that's the only way I drink it.
