Humans are taking on grizzly bears in a new Discovery Channel show.
The network has greenlit Man vs. Bear, a new competition series in which "humans will be entering the bear's territory and take them on in a competition like never attempted."
Each week three grizzlies — Bart, Honey Bump and Tank — will take on three new human competitors (male and female) at their Utah sanctuary to test the limits of strength, speed and stamina. All of the challenges — from a game of "tug of war" to using brute force to roll giant logs — will be based on the bears' natural instincts as well as predatory skills and actions.

Those are trained bears.
They can, however, still kill a human very easily.
As long as the bears identify as human the competition is fair.
I want to see Anthony Hopkins as a guest...
Hmmmmm...a 1000lb animal vs a 200lb animal.......
Can’t fathom how that would turn out.....
I’ll pass on watching this.
What happens if the bear attacks? Do they have a sharp shooter trained on the bear at all times?
How would killing the bear play out for the Discovery Channel?

Easier to understand what was going on.
I’ve seen some You Tube videos featuring tame bears and their human caregivers.
Don’t know what to make of them ... I do know that humans desperately want to be friends with bears, probably more than any other wild predator. But bears don’t seem inclined to return the favor.
There is a Nat Geo video on youtube of a trained bear killing a man with a bite to the neck.
There was also another video of the exact same thing happening which I can no longer find.
In the second video, the bite is just a quick nip to the neck. The man was dead a minute later.
Anywho, I won’t link the first video, ‘cause it’s pretty frightening, but it’s out there.

Competition? Just put the human and the bear in a cage together & come back tomorrow.
I guess Ben was a black bear.
