Several billionaires have recently criticized the wealth tax proposal of presidential candidate Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA). And fellow lawmaker Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) has come to her aid.
During an interview with CNBC, JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon said of Warren: “She uses some pretty harsh words, you know, some would say vilifies successful people.”
The New York congresswoman, who previously proposed a 70% tax on Americans with incomes over $10 million, jumped on Dimon’s remarks:

This is supposed to be the land of opportunity. If someone has the ability to become a billionaire legally they should be allowed to do so, without the government stepping in and helping itself to honestly obtained earnings.

This “projected wealthy tax” raises $635 billion over 10 years
$75,000,000,000,000 minus 635,000,000,000 leaves $749,365,000,000,000 for the Democrats to find somewhere else. Where do you think they are going to find that money?
The lie about “taxing the wealthy get them no where near. There isn’t enough “other spending” in the US Govt budget to make up even a few percentage points of that number.
Total current Federal Sending yearly is $4.45
trillion. The Democrat Fascists would at a minimum triple that spending. It probably more like a 5x increase to pay for all of the Democrat Fascist Clown Squad’s spending fantasies
No, they not going to get that by “slashing defense spending”. The entire DOD budget is $639 billion annually
No, they not going to get it by “saving on health care costs”. ALL private, and Government, health care spending annually only comes up to $3.5 trillion
