They were obviously kidding about Lopez playing Batman. Just sucking up to each other, maybe even flirting.

I’m ready for a new Batman. The first of Reeves’ films is supposed to be an adaptation of “The Long Halloween,” one of many classic Batman story lines. Once upon a time Batman was billed on the cover of Detective Comics as “The World’s Greatest Detective,” and the movie will be about Batman solving a murder mystery with the culprit being one of his rogues gallery.

My biggest beef about the Nolan-directed movies was they had lousy fight scenes. Hopefully, Reeves will do them better...

Portraying Batman as a gallant figure, however, is the furthest thing from Pattinson’s mind. “I have no interest whatsoever in playing someone who’s heroic,” he told Lopez. “The only time I want to play someone who an audience knows they’re supposed to like is when they really shouldn’t like them. That’s the only time.”

I guess it wasn't enough to have a Man of Steel who hates the idea of being Superman (don't worry, I hate the idea of you being Superman, too), now DC figures it's time to have a Caped Crusader who hates being Batman. And they wonder why they suck compared to Marvel (who are doing their best to destroy their franchise as well).
