I think its wrong to try and present actors with a fait accompli and pressure them into doing something like this. They SHOULD make it explicitly clear in the casting call that they will do nude scenes so that they know and accept it before applying for the role.
I agree with you. That should be upfront in the contract by the producers.
But any actor/actress should also have a list of things that they are not willing to do that they should automatically attach to a contract.
Uhhh, 2 hours of reading the book would have let her know that her character was going to be essentially sold to a ‘husband’ while her character was 14-15 years old; the husband pretty much raping her the first few times.
And then the simple question of “Is my character arc going to be true to the book? How true?”
Nah. Don’t do that, get famous, get rich, and then later claim that somehow you were manipulated or coerced into showing the goodies on camera...
