Nixon was a much greater President than history shows. Watergate was all B.S. as much as this current B.S. with Trump.
Nixon, outside of Reagan, was head and shoulders above his peers. Although I still consider him to have been a fairly liberal President.
I believe the Nixon had no prior knowledge of the Watergate fiasco, but was fully aware of and participated in the coverup. Then he lied to me, and I wanted him out as much as any RAT. I liked Ford and considered him equal to Nixon in ability anyway.
Nixon was punished for his pursuit of Alger Hiss. You need to understand that if you want to understand how Nixon was treated.
