Yes, it was a tacky thing to do, but it’s not as if they chased him down at a crime scene to force upon him a coffee cup with a rude label.

How many options does a patrol officer have to get something like this on a holiday in Keifer, OK? How many other customers get their cups “labeled” with disgraceful names at this place? Starbucks employees get paid less because they only serve coffee and related items. The Bible doesn’t show distinction between a soldier or one that keeps the peace in the community. Anyone who respects a soldier or a veteran should also respect a police officer.

Maybe they have a coffeepot at the police department. Most offices do.

I don’t know why my saying the employee’s behavior was tacky is being taken to mean that I believe it is praiseworthy. I do not. I believe everyone ought to be polite to everyone else in all non-emergency situations.

I also observed that both parties were working on Thanksgiving and that the officer was buying snacks, rather than patrolling, at the time. If the report we have read is accurate, these are true statements.
