I couldn’t do it. To live every day of the remainder of my life wondering if my child’s killer would somehow get out of prison, whether my escaping or, the more likely scenario, on some legal technicality. Just the fact they would still be breathing in prison would set me off.

There is another way of looking at it. Let the state take their "pound of flesh" and then I'll take mine.
Lawyers make millions off death row cases. I've actually seen it almost put a Texas county into bankruptcy.

The left isn’t satisfied if a mass murderer and/or terrorist doesn’t get the death penalty. They do everything they can to get the killer out of prison and back on the streets as soon as possible.

Accept the plea then Epstein him.

I don't actually recommend that because it destroys the rule of law, but it would relieve the students, faculty and families from having to go through the trial. And it would prevent him from early release.
