Once again the Hershey Bears shattered a world record, as fans tossed 45,650 teddy bears and stuffed animals onto the ice at the Giant Center in the name of charity.
The annual winter toss traditionally happens after the first Bears’ goal of the game, and is sponsored by CommunityAid and abc27. The team collected 34,798 teddy bears and other stuffed animals in 2018 and 25,017 in 2017.
The stuffed animals collected from the toss are donated to more than 40 central Pa. organizations. CommunityAid will donate 25 cents per stuffed animal to the Children’s Miracle Network. A club seat holder for the Bears will also donate $1 per stuffed animal to the Sweigart Family Foundation.

The Hershey Bears defeated the Hartford Wolf Pack 4-3 in OT last night.
Hershey is the AHL affiliate of the Washington Capitals and Hartford is the AHL affiliate of the New York Rangers.
While I am a Penguins fan it is nice to have a hockey team in close proximity so I can watch the game played LIVE!
Nothing in sports beats a live hockey game (IMHO).

I’m a Rangers fan and live in San Antonio. The San Antonio Rampage is the closest team to me. They are an affiliate of the Blues.
