A 12-year-old Texas boy, who is praying to be adopted, says God is the reason he's still smiling despite still being in foster care.

Jonah, whose last name wasn't provided, is currently in the custody of the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services and has spent four years waiting to be adopted by a forever family.

He sat down for an interview with WFAA 8 in Dallas for the station's Wednesday Child segment, which focuses on children hoping to be adopted.

He says that God keeps him grinning when he's feeling down.

'He's brought me through many, many things,' Jonah said, dressed in grey slacks, a grey vest, a blue button down shirt and a striped tie.

'As far as abuse before I came into [Child Protective Services]. He's brought me through a lot. Just a lot overall.'

I am suspicious why there is such a backlog. I think the requirements of income may invalidate otherwise good parents from being able to adopt, as well as the liberal bias those in government tend to have (partly due to the student loan forgiveness offered to those employed). I suspect homosexual couples may be favored in some states though.

Me too, I just pray if he does find a family to take him in they are genuine and are bringing him into their family for the right reasons. I’ve worked with too many kids who are in foster families who do it just for the money.

That must be foster care adoption since I see that foster care adoption often costs very little — and sometimes, nothing at all. (Total Cost of Foster Care Adoption: $2,744)

In contrast,

On average, a private domestic adoption will cost adoptive families $35,000–$50,000. With American Adoptions, these costs include the following services necessary for a successful adoption:

CPS ADOPTION RACKET

Young adoptee kids are preferred because they are still maleable, and women get preference.

They screw up the kids in single mother households with little discipline.

All those adoption ads you see are targeted to men for the problem older teens.

CPS sucks the Federal money out of adoption, then they dump the poor kids onto men. Then the commercial ads come out to address their problem.

Sick.

DW is wnating to have another but ay my age I am a bit skeptical about my ability (willingness may be more appropriate term) to handle another baby. I keep telling her with our capabilities and resources we should help some kids that need it and skip diapers

On the other handed we are not of a popular political orientation, own guns, etc and would likely be immediately disqualified despite having the ability to provide a financially secure, stable, postive environment

My dad was in an orphanage until he was 14. He then started visiting a family on weekends, and soon went to live with them permanently. From there, he went into the army in WWII. His foster family was who I knew as my grandparents. They were wonderful people. I hope such a family finds this young man.

And you read FR and likely the Bible! And under the AFC, the gov. could assume responsibility for the psychological health of your children, and if they hear "homophobic" (the use of which is a psychological tactic ) and other non-PC speech, then they could conceivably require you to submit to reeducation classes, and remove your children if not compliant.

However, if those in cults can raise multiple childrenin their faith (as in Utah) then true Christians should be able to.
