Dallas Cowboys need the same thing. They got the talent to go to the Super Bowl, but their players are charmin-soft. Problem is, the minute a tough coach gets in their grill, they’ll go whining to that inbred Arkansas hillbilly and totally undercut the coach’s authority.

The problem was immediately discernible when he wasted the preseason. Never played the first string together enough to get their timing down in game conditions. That’s why OBJ and Mayfield never clicked on the field. He also never established his authority with the players, hence record penalties and discipline problems. By the Arizona game it was obvious the team had quit on him.

The 6-10 finish is exactly what local commentator Trivisonno predicted, based simply on “rookie head coach, second year quarterback.”
